SEAAGE and AAGE successfully hosted the first Asia Graduate Recruitment & Development Conference in Singapore on Thursday, 7 April, 2016.

The packed scheduled allowed the 40 attendees to hear from a varied of speakers. AMS talked about the future of assessment: the science of assessing vs candidate experience. ICE Professionals discussed what the landscape in early talent will look like in 2020 and hosted a very engaging discussion around ‘are organisations ready for the new talent wave?’. Google shared how they recruit talent and what they look for.

We also heard from Microsoft who hosted a panel session with a graduate recruiter who is a millennial, sharing experiences and expectations of our future talent. Aviva did a great job of sharing how they developed their employer brand and position in the market from being unknown, to know.

GradConnection shared some expert advice around online attraction fundamentals and provided some great hints and tips when reviewing digital assets.

Expedia presented on ‘guerrilla hiring strategies’ sharing their recruitment journey and challenges over 12 months and how they had to do more with less when working on a tight budget.

Credit Suisse talked about ‘grow your own’ and how their graduate programme management supports their future leaders. And last but not least Work Group ran an interactive workshop to identify and understand your employer brand and how to utilise your true EVP messages.

The day was full of open discussion and sharing. Thank you to everyone who attended and participated on the day.
